Convert Design to WordPress Theme

Turn Figma, PSD, XD, or Sketch files into agency-ready WordPress builds with clean frontend execution and editable CMS delivery.

December 2025

You already have the design. What you need now is technical execution that respects it and survives handoff. I convert design files (PSD, Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) into production-ready WordPress themes built for agencies that care about maintainability, performance, and clean delivery.

Supported Design Formats

  • Figma: Most common. Easy to inspect and export assets.
  • PSD (Photoshop): Classic format. I extract layers and optimize.
  • Adobe XD: Similar workflow to Figma.
  • Sketch: Mac-native tool, fully supported.

Conversion Process

Phase 1: Design Analysis

I thoroughly analyze the design files to understand: layout structure, component hierarchy, breakpoints, interactive elements, color scheme, typography.

Phase 2: Technical Planning

Based on the design analysis, I define the WordPress architecture before coding starts: template hierarchy, custom post types, custom fields, plugin scope, and responsive strategy. This avoids rework later and keeps delivery predictable for the agency.

That planning phase is also where design sensitivity matters most, which is why UI/UX awareness on the development side reduces revision loops so much.

Phase 3: HTML Markup

I create semantic HTML5 markup from design. This includes proper heading hierarchy, structured content, accessible forms, and semantic elements for search engines.

Phase 4: CSS Styling

CSS matches the design pixel-perfectly while being responsive. I use modern CSS3 techniques: CSS Grid, Flexbox, custom properties, media queries for mobile/tablet/desktop.

Phase 5: WordPress Integration

Converting HTML to WordPress theme: functions.php, template tags, The Loop, custom post types, meta fields, widget areas, menus, taxonomies.

Phase 6: Interactive Elements

JavaScript for sliders, modals, dropdowns, animations. I use vanilla JS or lightweight libraries, avoiding heavy frameworks when not necessary.

Phase 7: CMS Setup

Using ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), I make content editable without code editing. Clients can update text, images, and sections autonomously.

Quality Standards

Pixel Perfect

The final result follows the design with high visual fidelity while staying realistic about responsive environments and browser rendering differences. The goal is not fragile perfectionism, but a reliable implementation that still feels true to the original design.

Responsive by Default

Mobile, tablet, desktop. The design guides responsive breakpoints, ensuring perfect display on all devices.

Performance First

Clean code, minimal dependencies, optimized images, lazy loading. Your WordPress theme loads fast and ranks well on Core Web Vitals.

Accessibility Compliant

WCAG 2.1 AA compliance: proper heading hierarchy, alt text, ARIA labels, keyboard navigation, sufficient color contrast, semantic HTML.

Timeline Expectations

  • Simple sites (5-10 pages): 3-4 weeks
  • Medium sites (10-15 pages): 4-5 weeks
  • Complex sites (15+ pages, custom features): 6-8 weeks

What You Receive

  • Complete WordPress theme: Production-ready PHP, CSS, JavaScript
  • Theme documentation: Technical guide for developers
  • CMS training: How to use ACF and manage content
  • 30-day support: Bug fixes and minor adjustments post-launch
  • Git repository: Full version history and code access
